NASC MEETS IN LEXINGTON FOR 43RD ANNUAL CONFERENCE

NASC Announces 2024 Award Recipients

Several NASC members and former members were honored with awards at the recent 2024 NASC Annual Conference, held in Lexington, Kentucky, on March 13-15. Award recipients were selected by NASC President and Administrator of Montana’s State Financial Services Division Cheryl Grey. Awards were presented during a ceremony held on the evening of Wednesday, March 13.

Clark Partridge Receives NASC's Highest Honor

On Wednesday, March 22, D. Clark Partridge, former state comptroller of Arizona, was named as a recipient of the National Association of State Comptrollers’ Louis L. Goldstein Leadership Award. This is NASC’s highest honor.

As Maine’s largest city, Portland is an unpretentious, scenic hub with cobblestone streets, working waterfront views, lighthouses and world-class dining.  Let’s hope for an early spring here in the northeast!

NASC HOLDS FIRST IN-PERSON ANNUAL CONFERENCE SINCE 2019

President Lynne Bajema, state comptroller of Oklahoma, recently welcomed association members and corporate partners to Oklahoma City for the 41st annual conference of the National Association of State Comptrollers. The conference was NASC's first in-person conference since the pandemic began in March 2020.

We are all faced with constant change, whether from GASB statements, legislation, world events, or technology, and involvement in NASACT has been invaluable through every change I’ve faced in the past ten years as state comptroller. I am so thankful for NASACT and for the comptrollers in other states that have been there to offer advice, experience, and lessons learned.

NASC Hosts Second Virtual Conference

The National Association of State Comptrollers held its annual conference last week, with a record attendance of 265. The conference was held virtually on March 23 through 25 because of continued travel restrictions related to the Coronavirus pandemic.

COMPTROLLERS MEET IN ATLANTA WITH RECORD-BREAKING ATTENDANCE

State comptrollers recently met in Atlanta for their thirty-eighth annual conference, featuring record attendance of 184.

STATE COMPTROLLERS CONQUER WINTER STORM STELLA TO ATTEND 2017 CONFERENCE

NASC President Anna Maria Kiehl, state comptroller of Pennsylvania, recently welcomed her peers to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, for the thirty-sixth annual conference of the National Association of State Comptrollers. The conference was held March 15-17 at the Hilton Harrisburg.

I still remember when I was newly appointed to the position of Pennsylvania state comptroller in 2007. There is so much to do it can be overwhelming at first. So I asked for advice from the outgoing comptroller, and his advice was simple and effective. He said, "get involved in NASACT." I didn't understand the wisdom of those simple words at the time, but I've come to really value our association.
