DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The DAG is looking for an e-Learning Training Specialist to join the Office of Quality Control and Training team. An employee in this position provides e-Learning training and related technical support within the Department to contribute to delivery of the technical training necessary for employees to maintain professional competency and meet departmental goals.

Requirements
  • Develops, reviews, and/or updates web-based training (WBT) e-Learning courses using Articulate and distributes WBTs via the Department’s learning management system (LMS) (i.e., SuccessFactors). This may include recording live training sessions and producing the resulting video and/or uploading training videos to the Department’s delivery platform.
  • Assists with training records administration by preparing and/or reviewing training records of programs, including ensuring training records comply with Department and OQCT policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Organizes, maintains, and trains on the use of Department training records and related systems, including assisting in periodic audits of the Department’s training records for completeness and accuracy to ensure that they support the training records in the LMS.
  • Facilitates, develops, presents, records, and/or proctors e-Learning via the Department’s current web conferencing tool (e.g. Teams, etc.) so that presenters and attendees can interact.
  • Researches relevant criteria and other literature for the purpose of reviewing, updating and/or developing technical training programs and/or assisting in the revision of training policies, procedures and/or processes.
  • Acts as a resource to subject matter experts and trainers during training development.
Work Schedule and Additional Information: 
  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. This position is headquartered in the Capital Complex Finance Building; however, employees are allowed to participate in the Department's telework program. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. 
  • Employees in this position may be required to report to the Harrisburg Headquarters occasionally with only 24 to 48 hours notice. Employees will not be reimbursed for expenses related to that commute, including mileage, tolls, parking, hotels and meals.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Related bachelor's degree; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements: 
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
  • Experience with Articulate Studio, 360 and/or Storyline.
  • Experience with learning management system (LMS) administration.
