NASACT is pleased to announce the latest in its series of training events addressing timely issues in government accounting, auditing, and financial management.

On February 1, 2024, the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) issued the final revisions to Government Auditing Standards, better known as the Yellow Book. The 2024 Yellow Book requires an audit organization to design and implement a system of quality management that incorporates a risk assessment process to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks to audit quality. This webinar will highlight significant new elements in the revised Yellow Book and discuss certain considerations for an audit organization as it transitions from a system of quality control to a system of quality management.

GAO is also working on revising the Standards for Internal Control in the Federal Government, better known as the Green Book, issued by the Comptroller General. The Green Book provides an overall framework for establishing and maintaining an effective internal control system for federal agencies. The Green Book may also be adopted by state, local, and quasi-governmental entities. This session will provide essential information on the upcoming revisions to the Green Book.
