NASACT is pleased to announce the latest in its series of training events addressing timely issues in government accounting, auditing, and financial management.
In October 2021, the AICPA issued SAS 145, Understanding the Entity and Its Environment and Assessing the Risks of Material Misstatement. This standard seeks to enhance the risk assessment process overall and includes new requirements which will change how auditors document and approach assessing inherent and control risk among other changes. The standard is effective for audits of financial statements for periods ending on or after December 15, 2023 so now is the perfect time to catch up on what you need to know for implementation!
