XBRL US CAFR Taxonomy Released for Review
XBRL US CAFR TAXONOMY RELEASED FOR REVIEW: YOUR FEEDBACK REQUESTED
XBRL US recently released its draft CAFR taxonomy for public comment. This taxonomy was prepared by the XBRL US State and Local Government Disclosure Modernization Working Group. NASACT, along with the Government Finance Officers Association, Governmental Accounting Standards Board, the Census Bureau and others, are observers to this group.
The draft taxonomy contains 198 data elements and many columns, some of which really only apply to software coders. NASACT will be responding to the document, focusing primarily on columns B through BA, which contain the elements, labels, documentation and the professional references.
XBRL US’s deadline for comments is March 18. Please provide your comments for inclusion in NASACT’s response to Kinney Poynter by Friday, March 8. Those responding are also encouraged to provide comments directly to XBRL US by following the instructions on the webpage.
