NASACT Responds to Proposed Changes to the Uniform Accountancy Act
The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy are seeking comment on an exposure draft proposing changes to the Uniform Accountancy Act.
One of the changes to the UAA would enable states to adopt a third licensure pathway that requires earning a bachelor’s degree with an accounting concentration, completing two years of professional experience, and passing the CPA exam.
NASACT has prepared an association response to the ED. NASACT is supportive overall of the proposed changes, including a third licensure pathway and the ability to practice in other states.
