The NSAA E-Government Committee tracks the evolution of e-government and communicates relevant information to NSAA members regarding the emerging use of e-government in state governments by monitoring the development and implementation of e-government initiatives in state government, identifying control, security, and audit issues to be considered when using e-government, identifying audit approaches for testing controls and security in e-government applications, and sharing relevant information regarding best practices.
This committee also promotes quality information systems auditing and the use of information technology in state audit organizations by providing educational, advisory, and research support for NSAA members and by facilitating electronic networking among member organizations.
