General Information:
The 2009 annual conference of the National Association of State Comptrollers will be held from March 25 – 27 at the Loews Annapolis Hotel in Annapolis, Maryland. 

In a city like Annapolis – where red-brick streets pass alleyways which were designed for horse-drawn carriages, the City Dock harbors wooden-hulled schooners, and the entire downtown is a National Historic Landmark where tour guides stroll in full colonial attire – it is hard to keep track of the centuries.  The Loews Annapolis Hotel is located in the heart of Annapolis, steps away from the historic and uptown districts, Chesapeake Bay, and the U.S. Naval Academy. 

The negotiated rate for this year’s NASC Annual Conference is $153/single or double plus applicable taxes. To get this special rate, you must call before the cut-off date of February 22, 2009. After this date, rooms will be offered only on a space and rate available basis.

NASC’s Program Committee, which is chaired by Calvin McKelvogue, chief operating officer, State Accounting Enterprise, Iowa, is currently working on the technical program.  A draft program agenda will be posted to NASACT’s Web site on early January.

Loews Annapolis Hotel is located approximately 30 miles from the Baltimore/Washington International Airport.  A detailed list of shuttle options will be available on the Web site soon.
