The Center
for Governmental Financial Management (CGFM) is a not-for-profit
501(c)(3) entity created exclusively to enhance state-level governmental
accounting, auditing, and treasury management functions throughout
the world. The CGFM is the primary vehicle by which the National
Association of State Auditors, Comptrollers, and Treasurers (NASACT)
strengthen member knowledge, education, and participation in international
issues and developments important to the goals and objectives
of the NASACT organization.
Purpose
The center
operates to promote efficient and effective state-level government
financial management practices worldwide. The center enables NASACT
to provide educational, support, and research activities through
international assistance and exchange projects as developed from
participation, collaboration, and in association with other international
organizations.
