The Uniform Guidelines Coalition is initiating a “X-UDED” effort to develop a XML data model for Uniform Data Elements and Definitions (UDED) – Version 1.   NCCS at The Urban Institute, secretariat of the Coalition, has re-convened the Technical Advisory Group as a community of practice (CoP) and is expanding it to include interested members of the financial, grants and IT/XML communities.  An X-UDED.xml instance document, which describes the initiative, has been prepared and registered on www.ET.gov.  For additional information, contact Bill Levis at The Urban Institute (202-261-5401).
